After you take it out of the oven, you can cover it with toppings.
I cheat when it comes to the sauce! I have found an easy solution that my family loves. I use the Hunt's brand "Garlic and Herb" sauce for my pizza. It tastes great, makes it even easier and costs under $1 at Wal-mart!
When you are done adding your toppings, return to the oven and bake 8-10 minutes. I usually just make the traditional pepperoni, but have also done a BBQ chicken which was great. I might have to make this today and experiment!
I never make pizza at home b/c I can't master the crust. I'll give this a try!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to try this one, too! Looks delicious!!!
ReplyDeleteYum! I will have to try this- I've been in the same boat that I haven't found a pizza crust that I love and is easy enough to fix!
ReplyDeleteQuick question- when you pop it back in the even the second time, do you still cook it at 500*?
Hey Kari!! Yes, you put it back in the oven at 500. I know that seems high, but it worked great for me. You can always watch it and adjust according to your oven.
ReplyDeleteI hope you and your family are having a great holiday season! And I love your family pic - really cute!
This sounds really good Amy! My family LOVES pizza, so I'll definitely have to add this recipe to my meal plan this week!
ReplyDeleteWe made this tonight and LOVED it! I only used half the dough because we like really thin pizza. This will be our weekly pizza recipe now. Thanks so much for sharing!

I just wanted to thank you for your blog. I stumbled upon it through one of my friend's blogs and have to tell you that it has helped me go from timid new mother of three/cook for five (including myself) to confident in the kitchen. Everything I have tried from here has been so delicious and your directions are wonderful. I have tried numerous pizza crust and this is the absolute best. I've even let teh kids use cookie cutters to make little "pizza crust" biscuits sprinkled with salt. So, thank you thank you thank you!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to try this recipe! Have you tried freezing the raw pizza dough?
